Call for Abstracts and Participation in the Australasian Bayesian Network Modelling Society’s (ABNMS) 11th Annual Conference
The Australasian Bayesian Network Modelling Society (ABNMS) will host its Annual workshop and conference at the International Wine Centre in Adelaide South Australia on the 6th and 7th of December 2018 and is now inviting submissions:
ABNMS exists to promote the understanding and use of Bayesian network (BN) models in scientific, industrial and research applications. As current president, my goal is to engage broadly across the Bayesian network modelling community and particularly seek to encourage students and new entrants to the field to participate. With this goal in mind, we have partnered with the University of Adelaide and the Defence Science and Technology Group for this year's conference.
The conference provides a great opportunity to better understand the BN modelling field, discuss new or proposed projects, develop new skills and get to know leading academics and practitioners in the field. Our emphasis is on encouraging and supporting new participants both during the conference and establishing greater collaboration.
This year there are three categories for submissions: individual presentations, mini-workshops and panel discussions. Abstracts for ABNMS 2018 should be no longer than 300 words. These abstracts will be reviewed by the board and successful abstracts will be asked to give a presentation, a mini-workshop or participate in a panel discussion at the conference.
