Call for Abstracts and Participation
The 10th Annual Conference of the Australasian Bayesian Network Modelling
Society will be combined with the Annual Conference of the Society for Risk
Analysis – Australia New Zealand titled Risk in an Interconnected World
The organising committee for ABNMS2017 is pleased to invite submission of
abstracts for oral and poster presentations on all aspects of research
relating to Bayesian Network analysis. Past presentations have covered a
wide range of disciplines including environmental management, engineering,
law, infrastructure and medicine, and a variety of technical aspects on the
method of development, data learning, linking GIS and BNs expert
elicitation approaches, and lessons learnt from particular BN projects. The
key theme for this conference is risk analysis and risk management.
The committee strongly encourages (but does not require) authors to also
submit one or more accompanying BNs to the ABNMS BN repository
<http://abnms.org/bnrepo/>, whether they be full BNs or simply illustrative
ABNMS is offering 4 travel grants to attend the tutorials and conference.
Awards will be for $250 to $500 to contribute to the costs of travel to and
from the conference. Three Student Grants will be awarded and one 2017
Travel Grant will be awarded for any person who attended the ABNMS
pre-conference tutorials in 2016 in Perth, Australia and will present in
