Call for Papers and Participation

Fourth Annual Conference of the Australasian Bayesian Network
Modelling Society (ABNMS2012)

November 26 - 27, 2012: Pre-Conference Tutorials
November 28 - 30, 2012: Conference
University of Wollongong

Bayesian networks have become a significant tool in a rapidly emerging
area of applied Artificial Intelligence in Australasia. The Society
has been established to support the use and development of Bayesian
networks, to further the technology and advance applications.

The organising committee for ABNMS2012 is pleased to invite submission
of abstracts for presentation and posters.

Papers are invited from all fields. Past papers have covered a wide
range of disciplines including environmental management, engineering,
law, infrastructure and medicine, and a variety of technical aspects
on the method of development, data learning, linking GIS and BNs
expert elicitation approaches, and lessons learnt from particular BN

Papers are also invited for three special sessions which will be
incorporated into this conference:

Integration of geospatial data and Bayesian Networks;
Emerging methods and tools for Bayesian Networks; and
Expert elicitation of data.

Key Dates

Abstract submission deadline:
      27th August 2012
Decision on abstracts:
      26th September 2012
Deadline for submission of full papers:
      26th October 2012
Deadline for conference registration: (including preconference tutorials)
      26th October 2012

Abstracts for ABNMS2012 should be no longer than 300 words.
