CALL FOR ABSTRACTS and PARTICIPATION
for the Inaugural Annual Meeting of the Australasian Bayesian Network Modellers Society (ABNMS-09)
November 26 & 27, 2009
University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia (Map of Parkville Campus)
Bayesian networks have become a significant tool in a rapidly emerging area of applied AI in Australasia. The Society has been established to support the use and develoment of BNs, to further the technology and advance applications.
The organising committee for ABNMS-09 is pleased to invite submission of abstracts for presentation at our meeting.
We are in interested hearing about any aspect of modelling with Bayesian Networks (BNs). This includes:
- Applications
- BN Software Tools
- Knowledge engineering methodologies
- Elicitation techniques
- Integrating BNs in broader decision support systems
- Learning BNs from data (parameters and/or structure)
Key dates:
- Abstract Submission (1-2 pages): Friday 23rd October
- Notification of acceptance: Wednesday 28th October
- Program Finalised: Friday 30th October
In addition to presentations, our 2-day meeting will include an introductory tutorial on BN technology, panel discussion, opportunities for socialising, and our first organsational meeting.
Registration for participation is now open.
We hope to see you there.
